Scotiabank Convention Centre Sales Manager, Missy Lichtenberger, Awarded ‘Associate Member of the Year’ at the Annual CAEM Awards Gala
Niagara Falls, Ontario (February 8, 2013) -- The Scotiabank Convention Centre, in Niagara Falls (SCCN) is proud to announce the recognition bestowed on one of its sales managers, Missy Lichtenberger, by the Canadian Association of Exposition Management (CAEM) as ‘Associate Member of the Year’ at this year’s annual awards gala, which took place in Toronto on Thursday, February 8, 2013.
“There’s a shining star in Niagara and its Missy,” says Kerry Painter, President & General Manager at the SCCN, who was present at CAEM’s ‘Celebrating the Stars of the Show’ awards gala to celebrate Missy’s award. Kerry and Missy recently completed the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Program and were among a group of industry professionals who formally received this internationally recognized professional designation during the special evening event.
“Missy is a key member to our team’s success,” says Jeremy Tyrrell, Director of Sales at the SCCN. Missy has been part of the SCCN Sales Team since 2010, where she has found success bringing to Niagara a long list of public and SMERF events. “We are extremely proud of her; her commitment to our organization’s goals; and her quest for excellence [...] she’s truly one of the best.” adds Jeremy.

Missy has been a CAEM member since January 2010 and has strongly contributed to its success by tirelessly committing her time and energies through volunteering and by being part of a number of committees, including: the Education Committee for both the 2011 & 2012 Annual Conferences; and is currently Chair of the Promotions Committee for the upcoming 2013 CAEM Annual Conference, which will take place in Niagara Falls on June 23 - 25. Her peers have come to recognize Missy’s gifts as an outstanding industry professional and have no doubt of the leadership role she is sure to play in the future.
