For Immediate Release!
Niagara Falls, Canada (December 21, 2015) – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the team at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls (SCCN) announces the passing of their colleague and dear friend Jeremy Tyrrell, who succumbed to the destructive effects of Mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer, on Sunday, December 20, 2015.
During his final months, Jeremy carried himself with the same dignity, grace and humour that he was commonly known for by friends and colleagues during his tenure as the Centre’s Sales Director, and throughout his many years as a sales professional in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Surrounded by his loving family, supportive friends, and the kindness of former colleagues; and the strength he drew from his Roman Catholic faith, in which he was a devoted Deacon, Jeremy knew that he was a lucky man. A truth that he shared with everyone who visited him and one he wanted everyone else to know.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, Jeremy’s beloved wife Claire and his three children, Andrew and his wife Katie, Emily and Graeme. Jeremy we will miss you deeply. ‘Alis aquilae!’ Isaiah 40:31
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Heart Parish in Windsor, Ontario (2153 Parkwood Ave.). His family invites everyone who wishes to pay their respects to attend.
Viewings have been arranged to take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell Chapel - 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E.)
Jeremy was a devoted Deacon of the Diocese of London, and felt strongly in support of St. Peter’s Seminary in London, Ontario. Donations in support of this organization would be greatly appreciated.
